We
believe that learning to play a musical instrument is one of the most
enriching experiences you can have. To maximize the enjoyment of the
lessons for you and your instructor, these policies have been put in
place:
Scheduling
All lesson scheduling is done through the staff at the lesson counter, either in-person or via
telephone. Changes cannot be made directly with your teacher or by email.
Prepare For Your Lesson
Arrive for your lesson a few minutes early, allowing time to check in at the lesson counter.
Make sure you bring your music workbook and dictation book.
Lateness
Your lesson is a half hour in duration. If you are late, you
will only be taught for the remainder of the half hour.
Attendance
When you sign up for lessons, you are occupying a scheduled weekly
half-hour time slot. It is understood that the lessons are
ongoing
and will automatically continue in that time slot.
To successfully learn to play an instrument, attendance is
crucial.
We cannot provide lessons for students with erratic
attendance.
Fees
$24 per half-hour lesson.
No taxes.
No registration
fee. Payment
FEES ARE PAYABLE AT THE FIRST LESSON OF EACH MONTH IN ADVANCE
FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH. We accept cash, debit card, cheque, all credit
cards, and Allegro Music
gift certificates.Teacher Cancellation
If your teacher is not available for any reason, one of our
many qualified instructors will substitute. If for any reason we
are not able to provide you with a lesson, you will receive full
credit for the missed lesson.
Lesson Cancellation
If for any reason you must cancel your lesson, WE REQUIRE
48 HOURS NOTICE. This allows teachers to accommodate other students.
If
you are taking booked holidays, 7 days prior notice is required.
CANCELLATION BY E-MAIL IS NOT ACCEPTED. A make-up lesson will be honored on a later date if scheduling time is
available. If a make-up lesson cannot be scheduled, your prepaid fee
will be applied to the following month's bill. If you do not provide
us with the required notice, you are expected to pay for the missed lessons. We stick to these policies
in order to provide our students and teachers with the best
possible service.
Parents - if your child becomes ill the day of his/her
lesson, unfortunately, this constitutes a late cancellation and
you are expected to pay for the lesson. Stopping Lessons
If you decide to discontinue your lessons, please give us
notice one week prior to the last lesson. If you are under age 18, a parent must call to inform us.
If there are any remaining lessons, they will be kept on file until you return, or, a full
refund will be given for lessons
not taken.
Due to the high demand for lesson time slots, if you discontinue lessons without
notifying us in advance, your prepaid fees will be applied to those absences.
Thank you for choosing our music school.
