| The Mega VL-10 is a cheap very mini practice
amp for beginners or guitarists who want something really portable. It's 8 watts
through a 5 inch speaker (sounds bigger than it actually is) with volume control
(can get loud if you want it!), bass & treble control, overdrive switch, and input
jack. Black, orange, red or yellow in stock. |
|
| Just through the door from the NAMM show are Grip
Studios guitar hangars. These are not your typical wall-mount hangars because
they're sculpted after the human hand and skeleton hand. Even when the guitar is not
on it, it's wild to have one sticking out of the wall. Pics at
guitargrip.com. |
|
| Now that the ink's dried on the deals we made at the
recent NAMM Show in Nashville, we are pleased to announce that some of the exciting
new product is starting to roll in. First through the door were AXL Badwater
electric guitars. These feature weather beaten, battle scarred,
dragged-through-hell-and-back-relic looks like you’ve never seen before. Each one is
truly unique with etched, bleached, reptilian skin-like or antiqued, aged finishes.
Three models in stock: black crackle, matte sunburst and off white. Verrry unusual.

| You've seen it on the poster in our window; you want
it. Gene Simmons has teamed with Cort to create a replica model of his own bass he
commissioned Steve Carr to build back in the 70's. The GS-Axe-GS-2 four-string bass
is seen by Cort as the 'ultimate posing bass guitar, from the rock God’s signature
on the headstock to the chipped axe blade'. It has a 34-inch scale, comprising a
solid mahogany body, a bolt-on hard maple neck and a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard.
In keeping with the original, the electrics include a single volume, single tone
control and selector switch wired to a pair of Mighty Mite pickups. Detailed specs
and promo at cortguitars.com. |

| Have you tried Ernie Ball Slinky guitar strings?
They are easy to spot on our string wall because of their killer looking packages.
These strings produce a well-balanced all-around good tone and are very flexible
(hence the name slinky). Jeff Beck, Jimi Page, Eric Clapton, Slash and Steve Morse
are on the long list of Ernie Ball Slinky players. Info at

who is, you owe it to yourself to check these out. We think you'll be pleasantly
surprised at how much bang for your buck you can get. |

| Drummers, when it comes to drum practice pads, the
Billy Hyde practice pad is worth its weight in rubber. It has a natural rebound
and mounts to most cymbal stands. We know you want play on your kit as much as
possible, but the pads can be taken anywhere and are quiet so parents, neighbours
and everyone around you won't hate you. Always in stock at Allegro. |
|
| Now hanging on our string wall from Dean Markely,

deanmarkley.com. DM is
saying that "these are the revolutionary strings that are years ahead of every other
string. They provide a smoother feel and a brighter, more resonant tone." We'd like
to know what you think. |

| We just got this amazing new guitar device called the
O-Port. It's a kind of "acoustic enhancer" that helps deliver a fuller,
richer sound with noticeable increased sustain and harmonic range. The difference
really becomes obvious when you place a mic in front of the instrument. |
|
| It's always great to start the new year on a positive
note. A woman walked in the store today and said, "Hey, your selection of guitar
straps is better than Steve's Music!" Yes, we've got Levy's leather and suede,
and nylon weaves from Planet Waves, Perris and d'Addario. Also, super cool straps
from the TV shows Simpsons (Homer Flames, Homer D'oh, Bart Devil) and South Park (Cartman,
Kenny, Southpark blue, Mr. Hankey)... Howdy Ho! |

| Strum in tune. New arrivals of the latest
guitar/bass tuners to satisfy novice to pros. Go handy with the Qwik Tune
QT15. It's amazingly simple to use, it's about the same size as a credit card
(half inch thick) and it's inexpensive, but still gets you tuned. For being on stage
this may not be the number one choice, but it's a fine little tuner for a beginner,
any home or rehearsal studio. Batteries included. |

| More guitar capos in from Dunlop. The Dunlop Trigger
curved capo is a fave. It works well with both electric and acoustic guitars,
and it looks good -- clean and not distracting. It's easily placed, taken off and
moved. Works well all the way down the neck. Comes in black or smoke. Very nice. |

| Allegro has been an authorized dealer of Epiphone
guitars since 2005. Epiphone, owned by Gibson, offers more affordable versions
of most Gibson models. We regularly stock the Epiphone SG-Special and the G-310.
Both are replicas of the 1967 Gibson SG. The Special is a standard rock guitar with
no bells and whistles, just 2 tuning knobs and a nice full sound. The G-310 is a bit
more expensive. With 4 tuning knobs, it handles both warm and harsh tones well. And
when you wrap your hand around the neck, its easy to feel like Angus Young or Tony
Iommi. More at epiphone.com |

| Now you and your guitar can both have tattoos.
No, we're not talking about engraving or stamping that might ruin the finish. These
are cling decals that can be added and removed from your guitar anytime you like.
Designs like Devil Girl, Ribbon Skull, Grim Reaper, Ax Clown, Freedom Eagle, Dagger
Rose Skull ... they're are all about the love of music, rebellion, rejection of
society's norms, or freedom of life lived on the open road. |
