Dunlop Original Crybaby® Wah Pedal
Yes, we're talking about the legendary Crybaby, the most
stepped on pedal of all time. It features a
sturdy steel casing with a rubber-topped pedal, and a 100k ohm
Hot Potz potentiometer that allows for that quick, abrupt wah
sound.
So, what does it do? For starters,
listen to Jimi Hendrix perform the awesome intro to
Voodoo Child or Eric Clapton's solo on White
Room. Try Steve Vai's amazing wah intro on Yankee
Rose or Jimmy Page on No Quarter. After
listening to the sound, you'll be able to recognize the Crybaby
in just about every rock player's repertoire. How to create that classic
wah wah sound
Operating the Crybaby is simple. Insert a
9 volt battery and/or plug in the Dunlop ECB-003 AC Adaptor. Run a cord from
your guitar and amp to the Crybaby's two jack sockets. Push the
toe of the pedal down until you feel the ON
"click." Now step on the pedal, add pressure,
and you'll smoothly transition into the wah effect. By rocking your foot back and
forth on the pedal, you can change the effect that the crybaby has on the tone of your
instrument. Toe down will give you more treble; heel down will give you more bass. The
speed and amount of the effect you use will depend on your style of playing. When placing
the pedal in one position, you will hear a boost in that particular frequency. This boost
can be used to add sustain and create feedback of a desired overtone. Dimensions: 10in x 4in x 2-1/2in
Weight: 3.7 lbs
