Fast Track Harmonica Method is very user-friendly. It is written in a style
which is a lot of fun. In addition to teaching you what
you need to know -- music notation, single notes
and chords, scales, syncopation, it includes lots of
stuff you want to know -- riffs, licks, rock and
blues styles, and more. Each
music example in the book is included on the
accompanying CD, so you can hear how it sounds and play
along when you're ready. Turn the balance
knob on your stereo to the right to hear the harmonica
part emphasized, or turn the balance to the left to hear
the accompaniment only. Each example is preceded by one
measure of "clicks" to indicate the tempo. There's
an added bonus: the last section of all the "FastTrack"
series of books (Harmonica, Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Drums, Lead
Singer, Alto Saxophone) are the same so that you and your
friends can form a band and jam together!
